Product Details
Overview
Inconel 600 wire mesh (alloy 600) is a nickel-chromium alloy with added iron, designed for applications requiring resistance to both corrosion and extreme temperatures. It can be used in environments with temperatures ranging from cryogenic to 2050°F.
Technical Characteristics
- Ideal for elevated-temperature settings up to 2050°F
- Non-magnetic in all conditions
- Resists steam and mixtures of air, carbon dioxide, and steam
- Good for pitting & crevice corrosion in chlorides; great for caustics
- Excellent against chloride stress corrosion cracking
- Not for use in hydrochloric, hydrofluoric, nitric, or sulphuric acids
- Can be cut, formed, and welded
Applications
Inconel 600 wire mesh is principally used in high-temperature environments that also present corrosive, oxidizing or reducing agents. Common industries include:
- Aerospace
- Chemical Processing
- Electronic Components
- Food Processing
- Gas Turbine Components
- Heat Exchangers
- Pressure Valves
- Pulp & Paper
